AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 13 of the Municipal Code, City of
McHenry, Illinois be and the same is hereby amended by
adding thereto the following provision as and for Section
13-1901.1 thereof:
13.1901.1 PENALTY FOR DRIVING WHILE. UNDER THE
INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL, OTHER DRUG OR COMBINATION
THEREOF. "Every person convicted of the offense
of driving while under the influence of alcohol,
other drug or combination thereof, shall be guilty
of a Class A misdemeanor and shall be punished
either by a fine not to exceed $1,000.00 or by
imprisonment for a term not to exceed one year,
or both."
SECTION 2. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in
conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of' such conflict.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
