AN ORDINANCE
ORDI NANCE NO. MC-83-255
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 16-28 of the Municipal Code, City
of McHenry, Illinois, be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Sec.16-28. Intoxicatina Beveraoes.
(a) No person shall possess or drink any
alcoholic beverages at any time in any City
park, except beer which may be consumed
pursuant to a City Park Beer Permit issued by
the Mayor. No such permit, however, may be
issued by the Mayor unless an application for
such permit has previously been made by the
Permitee and the City Council has authorized
it's issuance. Such permit shall be valid only
for the period of time specified thereon and
shall be subject to inspection by any City
Official, Police Officer or Park personnel,
upon request.
SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violatinq
any provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less
than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) for each offense committed on each day
during, or on which, a violation occurs or continues.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in
conflict with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published in
pamphlet form by and under the authority of the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
