ORDINANCE NO.-&-82-246
AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY,
McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 26-51 of the Municipal Code of the City
of McHenry, Illinois be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 26-51. Discontinuing service for
non-payment; turn -on service charge.
The water supply may be shut off from any premises for which
the water bill remains unpaid for thirty (30) days after the
bill is rendered or mailed.
Where City water service is shut off for non-payment or for
any other reason, there shall be no restoration of such
water service until the user has first paid all past due
City water charges and, in addition thereto, a turn -on serv-
ice charge of twenty dollars ($20)".
SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Ten
Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00)
for each offense committed on each day during, or on which, a
violation occurs or continues.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict
with the terms and provisions hereof, be and the same are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance

from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form, as provided by law.
