BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Sections 13-1201 through 13-1209 inclusive and Section
;2 13-90?roof Chapter 13 of the Municipal Code, City of McHenry, Illinois,
establishing parking meter zones and regulating parking thereon be and
the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Sections 13-1201 of Chapter 13 of the Municipal Code, City
of McHenry, Illinois shall read as follows:
Section 13-1201. It shall be unlawful for the operator of
any motor vehicle to park such vehicle for a period of time
longer than 2 consecutive hours in the following locations:
(1) MAIN STREET from the easterly edge of the Chicago and
Northwestern property to a point 150 Feet east of
Front Street on both sides of Main Street.
(2) ELM STREET from the westerly edge of Riverside Drive
to the easterly edge of Front Street on both sides
of Elm Street.
(3) PEARL STREET from Green Street to a point 150 feet
east of Green Street on the south side only, and from
Park Street to the Fox River on both sides.
(4) RIVERSIDE DRIVE from Elm Street to a point 200 feet
north of Pearl Street on both sides of Riverside Drive.
(5) GREEN STREET from Pearl Street south to Waukegan Road
on both sides of Green Street.
(6) WAUKEGAN POAD from Green Street to the westerly edge
of the main entrance to the McHenry Hospital on the
north side of Waukegan Road.
The Superintendent of Public Works shall erect or cause to
be erected signs at the aforesaid locations indicating such
locations to be two hour parking areas only.
SECTION 3. The penalty provisions contained -in Section 13-1903
of Chapter 13 of the Municipal Code, City of McHenry be and the same are
hereby adopted by reference as and for the penalty for violation of
Section 13-1201 adopted hereby, and Section 13-1906 thereof relating
to voluntary settlements, overtime parking - unmetered, be and the same
is hereby adopted by reference governing the voluntary settlement
regarding violations of said Section 13-1201.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published -in pamphlet form
by and under the authority of the corporate authorities of the City of
McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form, as
provided by law.
