AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 13-1220 of Chapter 13 of the Munici-
pal Code, City of McHenry, Illinois, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
13-1220 Parking For Medically Handicapped Persons:
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person, other
than a medically handicapped person, to park any
motor vehicle inthe following locations:
1`(1) Green Street - the northern -most parking
t� ' space on the West side of the street South of
Elm Street.
(2) Green Street - all parking spaces on the
West side of the Green Street Bridge.
`(3) Green Street - the two southerly -most
parking spaces on the West side of the Street
North of Elm Street.
(4) Green Street - one Parking space abutting
on the North and on the South of the no parking
zone in front of the McHenry Medical Group entrance.
(5) Riverside Drive - the northern -most parking
space on the West side of the street South of
Pearl Street.
(6) Riverside Drive - the parking space on the
East side of the street in front of the entrance
to 1314 North Riverside Drive.
(7) Elm Street - the westerly -most parking space
on the North side of Elm Street East of Front Street.
(8) Elm Street - the first parking space East of
Green Street on the South :side of Elm Street.
(9) Main Street - the parking space on the South
side of the street abutting on the West side of
the entrance to the City Parking Lot.
The foregoing medically handicapped parking spaces
shall be marked by appropriate signs.
(b) Parking spaces set aside for medically handicapped
persons may be occupied by motor vehicles displaying a
State of Illinois Medically Handicapped license and re-
gistration, or a City of McHenry or other municipal
medically handicapped person decal on the rear window
thereof; such decals may be obtained, without charge, from

certification from a medical doctor addressed
to the City of McHenry that the applicant for
the decal is a medically handicapped person.
(c) Vehicles bearing the aforementioned decals
when parked in other areas of the: City, are exempt
from any ordinance imposing time limitations on
parking, but are subject to the provisions of all
other parking ordinances.
Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00.
Section 3. All Ordinances and parts thereof in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet
form by and under the authority of the corporate authorities of
the City of McHenry, Illinois.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval as required by
law.
