AN ORDINANCE
BE 'IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF
McHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 26-50(b) of the "Municipal Code,
City of McHenry, Illinois" be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
(b) All water rates shall be collected by the
City Clerk except as hereinafter provided and all
persons shall pay their bills for water consumed
on or before the twentieth day of the months of
February, May, August and November; payment of
bills for such quarters after the twentieth day
of said months shall subject the user to a penalty
of ten (10 ) per cent of the amount of the unpaid
bill; payment of bills for such quarters after the
fifteenth day of March, June, September and Decem-
ber, respectively, shall subject the user to a
penalty of $7.50 in addition to the aforesaid
penalty of ten per cent of the amount of the unpaid
bill.
SECTION 2. Section 26-166 of the "municipal Code,
City of McHenry, Illinois" be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
(a) Charqes for sewerage services shall be made
quarterly and shall be paid by the user quarterly.
(b) All sewerage service charges shall be collect-
ed by the City Clerk and all quarterly bills for
such services furnished to premises located in Lake-
land Park and Lakeland Shores Subdivisions shall be
raid on or before the twentieth day of the months of
PZarch, June, September and December, respectively;
payment of bills for such quarters after the twen-
tieth day of said months shall subject the user to
a penalty of ten (10) per cent of the amount of the
unpaid bill; payment of bills for such quarters
after the fifteenth day of the months of April, July,
October or January, respectively, shall subject the
user to a penalty of $7.50 in addition to the afore-
said penalty of ten per cent of the amount of the
unpaid bill.
(c) All sewerage service charges shall be collected
by the City Clerk and all quarterly bills for such
services furnished to premises located in the remain-
der of the City outside of Lakeland Park and Lakeland
Shores Subdivisions shall be paid on or before the
twentieth day of the months of February, May, August and
November, respectively; payment of bills for such
quarters after the twentieth day of said months shall
subject the user to a penalty of ten (10) per cent of
the amount of the unpaid bill; payment of bills for
such quarters after the fifteenth day of the months
of Pzarch, June, September and December respectively,
shall subject the user to a penalty of $7.50 in addi-
tion to the aforesaid penalty of ten per cent of the
amount of the unpaid bill.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet
form by and under the authority of the corporate authorities of
the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SEC`.PION 4. Anv ordinance in conflict herewith, to the
extent of such conflict, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, an_proval and publication
in pamphlet form, according to law.
