AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
McHENRY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 111 of the City of McHenry Ordinance
Mc-48, known as Motor Vehicle and Traff is Regulations Ordinance, be
and the same! is hereby amended by adding thereto the following addi-
tional Stop Sign regulations, it being unlawful for the operator of
any vehicle being operated on any of the streets hereinafter listed
in the column designated "Stop Sign" to drive such vehicle into the
intersection with the street listed opposite to it in the column
designated "'Intersecting Street" without first bringing such vehicle
to a full stop at the entrance to such intersection as indicated by
the signs located at such intersections:
STOP STREET INTERSECTING STREET
Charlotte
(Westbound)
John
Street
Victoria
(Westbound)
John
Street
Golf View
Terrace (Eastbound)
John
Street
SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any provision of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than Five
Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for
each offense.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in con-
flict herewith, be and the same are to the extent of such conflict
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. Publication of this Ordinance in pamphlet
form by and under the authority of the Mayor and City Council, be and
the same is hereby authorized.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect after its passage, approval and publication as by law provided.
