AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. - Section 7-114(a) of Chapter 7 of the
Municipal Code of the City of McHenry, Illinois, be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
(a) No fence shall be erected on a front
line or anywhere in the front yard. For purposes
of this Ordinance only, the front yard of a
corner lot shall mean a yard extending across
the full width of the lot and line between the
front line of a lot and the nearest line of the
building, and including a yard extending across
the full length of the lot and line between
the common boundary line of said lot and the
road right-of-way and the nearest line of the
building.
Section 2. - All ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and
the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 3. - This ordinance shall be published
in pamphlet form by and under the authority of the
corporate authorities of the City of McHenry.
Section 4. - This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval
according to law.
