BE: IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 56, Article XI of Chapter 12 of
the Municipal Code of the City of McHenry, be and it is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"When the City has effected the removal of such
obnoxious growth, or has paid for its removal,
the owner of such lot, place or area, shall be
charged for such removal, on the basis of the
total land area contained in such lot, place or
area, as follows:
NUMBER OF SQUARE FEET IN LOT, PLACE OR AREA CHARGE
Under 10,000 $15.00
Between 10,000 and 20,000 20.00
Between 20,000 and one acre in area 25.00
For each additional acre or fraction thereof 25.00
and said charge shall be due and payable by said owner
within thirty days after a bill for such charges has
been mailed to said owner".
SECTION 2. All Ordinances in conflict with the terms hereof
be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as by law
required.
