MC-93 AN ORDINANCE M'C_ P1 _ 98 WHEREAS, THE City of McHenry is authorized and empowered by Illinois Revised Statute, Chapter 24, Section 1-3-2, to adopt by reference, the provisions of any Public Record of the State.of Illinois, including any State regulation; AND WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is authorized and empower- ed by Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter Ill 1/2, Section 116.67 ; to adopt the minimum plumbing code standards, or any part thereof, promulgated by the Illinois Department of Public Health hand the minimum plumbing code of standards, or any part thereof, may be incorporated in an Ordinance or Resolution by reference; AND WHEREAS, three copies of the plumbing code standards promulgated and adopted by the Illinois Department of Public Health in 1969, have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of McHenry for a period of thirty days prior to the adoption of this Ordinance; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Mc HENRY, COUNTY OF McHENRY, I.LLINOIS, as follows: SECTION 1. Article V. Paragraph 19.c., of Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code of the City of McHenry, be and it is hereby amended to read as follows: c. Regulations. The plumbing code promulgated by the Illinois Department of Public Health, in pamphlet form identified as ILLINOIS STATE PLUMBING CODE, dated 1969, and amendments there- to, be and the same are hereby adopted and incor- porated herein by reference as and for the mini- mum code of standards of the City of McHenry for plumbing and the fixtures, materials, design and installation methods of plumbing system, except that risers and house service shall be a minimum of four (4) inches instead of the three (3) inches provided by said standards. SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this Ordinance, shall be fined not less than $10.00 nor more than $500 for each offense, and each day that such violation occurs may be considered as a separate offense and violation of this Ordinance. CERT. OF PUBLICATION ATTACHED TO ORIGINAL SECTION 3. All Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as by law required. PASSED this 5th day of Apri 1 _ _ , 1976.
