HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - MC-76-100 - 09/07/1976 - sewer user rates�C.. �� MC-100 AN ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Section 5 of Article XI of Chapter 16 of the Municipal Code of the City of McHenry, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: There shall be and there are hereby established rates or charges for the use and services of the sewer system of the City as follows: (a) Residential users $3.00 per month (b) Non-residential users, as follows: (1) Those non-residential users not using city water as a major part of their business operation; $4.00 per month (2) ThosP non-residential users not using city water but using water as a major part of their business operation (including, but not limited to car washes, restaurants, laundrys, schools, institutions, hotels, and motels capable of housing 20 or more people, beauty parlors with 3 or more chairs and all other business employing 20 or more persons); $8.00 per month (3) Laundromats not using City water shall pay a monthly sewerage use rate equivalent to 50 �. of the rate charged to City water users for a comparable amount of water metered to the Laundromat; (4) All other non-residential users shall pay a sewerage use charge equal to 50 of their City water bill, provided that the minimum monthly charge shall not be less than $3.00; (5) Each non-residential user in a building unit or complex shall be billed separately. CERT. OF PUBLICATION ATTACHED TO ORIGINAL SECTION 2. All Ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict with the terms and provisions of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict only. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force from and after its passage, approval and publication as by law required. PASSED this 7th day of September 1976.
