AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY,
ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 15, Article I of the Municipal Code of the
City of McHenry, Illinois be and it is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following section:
5.1 For the safeguard of the public health, safety
and welfare, the Superintendent of Public Works is author-
ized, from time to time, to temporarily prohibit the use
of water from the municipal water supply system for the
purpose of sprinkling lawns. Such prohibition shall be in
full force and effect upon publication of notice thereof
in a newspaper published in the City of McHenry.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as by law required.
