AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MC-48, ARTICLE VIII
SECTION 78, SPEED RESTRICTIONS
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry,
McHenry County, Illinois, that Ordinance MC-48, Article VIII,
Section 78, Speed Restrictions, be and hereby is amended as
follows:
Section 1. That Article VIII, Section 78 (a) shall be
amended to read as follows:
The maximum speed limit is hereby established at
thirty (30) miles per hour on Illinois State Routes
Number 120 and 31, through their entire traverse
of the corporate limits of the City, and the maxi-
mum speed limit on Crystal Lake Road starting
from Illinois State Route Number 120 to the
South line of Lillian Street as extended
Westerly, shall be thirty (30) miles per hour.
Section 2.
That there shall be deleted from (b) of
Section 78, Article VIII, the following:
Crystal Lake Road from Elm Street to Mill Street.
Section 3.
Conflicting Ordinance. All ordinances and
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, to the extent of
such conflict are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Validity. If any part or parts of this
ordinance shall be held invalid for any reason whatsoever,
such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining
part or parts of this ordinance.
Section 5. When effective. This ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage as required
by law.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be known as Ordinance
No. MC- 65
