ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS. NO. MC-46
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry,
Illinois, that the Municipal Code of the City of McHenry by and hereby is
amended as follows:
Section 61. a PROHIBITING THE PURCHASE OR
ACCEPTANCE OF GIFT OF LIQUOR BY PER-
SONS OF NON -AGE.
Section 1. Any person under the age
of 21 years shall not purchase or accept
a gift of alcoholic liquor or have alcoholic
liquor in his possession.
Section 2. The consumption of alcoholic
liquor by any person under 21 years is
forbidden.
Section 3. The possession and dispensing
or consumption by a minor of alcoholic
liquor in the performance of a religious
service or ceremony, or the consumption
by a minor under the direct supervision
and approval of the parents or parent of
such minor in the privacy of a home, is
not prohibited by this ordinance.
Section 4. All ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Municipal Code of the
City of McHenry, Illinois, be amended as follows:
Section 63. PENALTY. Any person, firm or
corporation violating any provision of this
article shall be fined not less than $25. 00 nor
more than $300. 00 for each offense; and a
separate offense shall be deemed committed
on each and every day during, or on which, a
violation occurs or continues.
This amendment of the Municipal Code shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval, filing and publication by
