AN ORDINANCE
REDISTRICTING THE CITY OF McHENRY
WHEREAS, certain territories have recently been annexed to the
City of McHenry, and
WHEREAS, such acquisition of territory requires the locating of
such lands within proper wards as established by the Council of the City
of McHenry;
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED, that Section 17, Article II, of Chapter
2 of the Municipal Code of the City of McHenry be and
hereby is repealed in its entirety, and amendments thereto,
to -wit, MC-16, MCN16(a), MC-17(a), MC»23(a), MC-23(b)
and MC-24 (a), are also repealed in their entirety.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in order to establish
equitable and uniform districting of the City in accordance
with population division, Section 17, Article II, of Chapter
2 of the Municipal Code of the City of McHenry, Illinois„
is amended to read as follows:
17. WARDS. The City is hereby divided into four (4)
wards, the boundaries of which are defined as follows:
FIRST WARD
All that territory and area within the corporate limits of
the City of McHenry described as follows, to -wit -
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Front
Street (State Route 31) and the center line of John Street;
thence Southeasterly along the center line of John Street
to the Northerly line of Riverstream Subdivision, being a
subdivision of part of Sections 35 and 36, Township 45 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian; thence North-
easterly along said Northerly line to the Westerly shore line
of the Fox River; thence Southeasterly along said Westerly
shore line of the Fox River to the most Easterly corner of
Lot 13 of Owen, Stenger & Allents First Addition to McHenry,
being a subdivision of part of Sections 35 and 36, Township
and Range aforesaid; thence Southwesterly along the Southerly
line of said Lot 13 to the most Northerly corner of Lot 14 of
said Owen, Stenger & Allents First Addition to McHenry;
thence Southeasterly along the Easterly line of said Lot 14
to the Easterly line of Crescent Avenue; thence Southerly
along the Easterly line of Crescent Avenue to the most
Northerly corner of Lot 15 of said Owen, Stenger & Allents
First Addition to McHenry; thence Southeasterly along the
Easterly line of said Lot 15 to the Northerly line of Lot 16
of said Owen, Stenger & Allents First Addition to McHenry;
thence Northeasterly along the Northerly line of said Lot. 16
to the Westerly shore line of the Fox River; thence South-
easterly along the Westerly shore line of the Fox River to
the Southerly line of said Lot 16; thence Southwesterly along

Charlotte Avenue; thence Easterly along the Southerly
line of Charlotte Avenue to the Northeast corner of Lot
107 of McHenry Golf Course Subdivision Fox River Addition,
being a subdivision of part of Sections 35 and 36, Township
and Range aforesaid; thence Southerly along the Easterly
line of said Lot 107 to the Northerly line of Lot 96 of said
McHenry Golf Course Subdivision Fox River Addition;
thence Southwesterly along the Northerly line of Lot 96
thru Lot 89 inclusive of said McHenry Golf Course Sub-
division Fox River Addition to the Northeast corner of
Lot 88 of said McHenry Golf Course Subdivision Fox River
Addition; thence Southeasterly along the Easterly line of
said Lot 88 and the Easterly line of said Lot 88 extended
to the Southerly line of Victoria Avenue; thence Easterly
along the Southerly line of Victoria Avenue to the Northeast
corner of Lot 78 of said McHenry Golf Course Subdivision
Fox River Addition; thence Southeasterly along the Easterly

Addition to the East line of the Northeast quarter of Section
35, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian; thence South along the East line of the Northeast
quarter of said Section 35 to the North line of the Southeast
quarter of said Section 35; thence West along the North line
of the Southeast quarter of said Section 35 to a point on the
North line of the Southeast quarter of said Section 35, 553.4
feet East of the Northwest corner of the Southeast quarter of
said Section 35; thence South a distance of 40 feet; thence
East a distance of 179 feet; thence South a distance of 1278. 98
feet to the South line of the North half of the Southeast quarter
of said Section 35; thence West along the South line of the
North half of the Southeast quarter of said Section 35, a
distance of 619.75 feet; thence North 66 feet; thence West
to the center line of Green Street; thence South along the
center line of Green Street to the North line extended Easterly
of Edgebrook Heights Annex, being a subdivision of part of
Section 35, Township and Range aforesaid; thence Westerly
along the North line and North line extended Easterly of said
Edgebrook Heights Annex to the Northwest corner of said
Edgebrook Heights Annex; thence Southerly along the Westerly
line of said Edgebrook Heights Annex to the South line of said
Section 35; thence West along the South line of said Section
35 to the center line of Front Street (State Route 31); thence
North along the center line of Front Street (State Route 31)
to the place of beginning.
