AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOI,S
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry
that the Municipal Code of the said City of McHenry in regard to traffic
control be and the same hereby is amended by adding to Chapter 13,
Article VI, of the said Code, the following:
Chapter 13, Article VI, paragraph 58 (f):
The enforcement and imposition of the speed regulations
as established in this paragraph 58 shall be accomplished
through the use of certified speedometer checks in police
vehicle equipment and electronic devices, including, but
not limited to, radar speed check. When any electronic
device is utilized in establishing the rate of travel of
any vehicle, such device, or devices, shall not be used
within 500 feet beyond any sign designating an official
maximum speed, in the direction of travel.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after
its approval, passage and publication as by law provided.
