AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE MC-16
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REDISTRICTING THE
CITY OF McHENRY BY WARDS" AS ADOPTED ANI)
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
McHENRY ON THE 2ND DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1964
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, by proper ordinance, did effect'
the annexation of certain territory described as follows:
The Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 45 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, (except
that part thereof falling in Edgebrook Heights Addition
to McHenry, according to the plat thereof recorded
January 6, 1953, as Document 260822, in Book 11 of
Plats, page 68; ALSO except that part thereof falling
in Edgebrook Heights Addition to McHenry Unit No. 1,
according to the plat thereof recorded April 25, 1957
as Document 322211, in Book 13 of Plats, page 12;
ALSO except that part thereof falling in Edgebrook
Heights Annex, according to the plat thereof recorded
February 14, 1957 as Document 319418, in Book 13
of Plats, page 9; ALSO except that part thereof conveyed
by Glenn Draper and Louise E. Draper, his wife, to the
First Baptist Church of McHenry, by Warranty Deed
recorded November 29, 1962 as Document 410024; ALSO
except that part thereof conveyed by Elmer H. Hettermann
and Lillian Hettermann, his wife, to the First Baptist
Church of McHenry, by Warranty Deed recorded November
29, 1962 as Document 410025; ALSO except that part thereof
conveyed by Gerhard Barbier and Paula Barbier, his wife,
to the First Baptist Church of McHenry, by Warranty Deed
recorded November 29, 1962, as Document 410026), in
McHenry County, Illinois,
said annexation being effected on the 18th day of April, 1966, and
WHEREAS, a certified copy of the said ordinance of annexation,
together with a true and accurate map of the territory annexed, has been
recorded in the Recorders Office of the County of McHenry, as by
statute provided, on the 19th day of April, 1966, as Document No.
457246, and
WHEREAS, the Council does find that said territory is surround
by the Second Ward of the said City of McHenry, as said Ward is estab-
lished and defined in Municipal Ordinance MG-16 referred to above.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry
that the territory annexed as set forth hereinabove shall be a
part of the Second Ward and that the Ward Map of the City of
McHenry shall be redrawn to indicate such inclusion.

This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption and passage, as by statute provided.
