AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE MC-16(a)
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
MC-16 ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE REDISTRICTING
THE CITY OF McHENRY BY WARDS' AS ADOPTED
AND PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF McHENRY ON THE 2ND DAY OF NOVEMBER, 196411
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, by proper ordinance, did effect
the annexation of certain territory described as follows:
Parcel I: Lot 26 of the County Clerk's Plat of the East
Half of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof
recorded May 6, 1902 in Book 2 of Plats, page 41, in
McHenry County, Illinois; ALSO
Parcel 2: Part of Lot 24 of the County Clerk's Plat of
part o Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof
recorded May 6, 1902 in Book 2 of Plats, page 41, in
McHenry County, Illinois, described as follows: Commencing
at the point of intersection of the North and South Quarter
Section line of Section 27, Township 45 North, Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, with the center of the
highway known as Route 120; thence Southeasterly along
the center of said highway a distance of 785 feet to a point
for a place of beginning; thence Southeasterly being on a
continuation of the center of said highway, a distance of
342. 97 feet; thence North being on a line forming an angle
of 104 degrees and 40 minutes to the left with a prolongation
of the last described line for a distance of 1304. 8 feet;
thence Northwesterly being on a line forming an angle of
72 degrees and 45 minutes to the left with a prolongation
of the last described line, a distance of 347. 42 feet; thence
South on a line forming an angle of 107 degrees and 15 minutes
to the left with a prolongation of the last described line, for
a distance of 1321. 95 feet to the place of beginning, in
McHenry County, Illinois,
said annexation being effected on the 3rd day of January, 1966, and
WHEREAS, a certified copy of the said ordinance of annexation,
together with a true and accurate map of the territory annexed, has been
recorded in the Recorder's Office of the County of McHenry, as! by
statute provided, on the I Ith day of January, 1966, as Document No.
453464, and
WHEREAS, the Council does find that said territory is contiguous
to the Fourth Ward of the said City of McHenry, as said Ward is estab-
lished and defined in Municipal Ordinance MC-16(a) referred to above.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
McHenry that the territory annexed as set forth here-
inabove shall be a part of the Fourth Ward and that the
Ward Map of the City of McHenry shall be redrawn to
indicate such addition.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption and passage, as by statute provided.
