AN ORDINANCE REPEALING A PARAGRAPH
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
McHENRY AND AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF McHENRY
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry,

Illinois, that
Paragraph 4, Article I, Chapter 15, of the Municipal
Code of the City of McHenry,
is hereby repealed in its entirety.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Municipal Code of the
City of McHenry, Illinois, be and hereby is amended as follows:
Chapter 15. Article I. Paragraph 4.
CONNECTIONS. No connection with a water main shall
be made without a permit being issued and twenty-four
hours notice having been given to the City Clerk. All
such connections shall be made under the supervision
of the Superintendent of Public Works, and no connection
shall be covered until the work has been inspected by
him. Application for permits to make such connections
shall be made to the City Clerk.
Fees:
3/4" service connection $ 70. 00
(City furnishes all 3/4" service
mete r s )
All connections over 3/4" $ 15.00
(Owner must furnish his own meter
when inlet is over 3/4". )
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after
its passage and publication as by statute provided.
