AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CERTAIN
PORTIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF McHENRY AND ESTABLISHING
A REVISED SCHEDULE OF BUILDING FEES
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry,
Illinois, that the following identified paragraphs of the Municipal Code
be and hereby are repealed in their entireties:
Paragraph 9, Article III, of Chapter 14.
Paragraph 10, Article III, of Chapter 14.
Paragraph 13, Article III, of Chapter 14.
Paragraph 15, Article III, of Chapter 14.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Municipal Code of the
City of McHenry, Illinois, be and hereby is amended by adding thereto
the following:
Chapter 14. Article III. Paragraph 9.
NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION.
a. Single unit family dwelling: $0. 06 per square foot.
b. Multiple dwelling structures: $25. 00 each living unit.
C. Additions or remodeling of single family or multiple
dwellings: $0.06 per square foot; $10.00 minimum.
Chapter 14. Article III. Paragraph 10.
NEW GARAGE CONSTRUCTION (private).
a. Single car garage: $10. 00.
b. Two cars or over: $15.00.
C. No permit fee shall be required for either a one or
two car garage if same is constructed simultaneously
with a new residence or dwelling structure, whether
the garage is attached or unattached.
Chapter 14. Article III. Paragraph 13.
COMMERCIAL OR INDUSTRIAL.
a. New buildings: $75. 00 for the first 200 square feet;
$0. 0125 per square foot over 200 square feet.
b. Remodeling: $0. 10 per square foot; $25. 00 minimum.
Over 750 square feet, $75. 00 per first 750 square feet,
$0. 0125 per square foot over 750 square feet.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after
its passage and publication as by statute provided.
Passed and approved this 15th day o November, 1965.
