AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF McHENR Y
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry,
Illinois, that Article IV of Chapter 13 of the Municipal Code of the
City of McHenry be and hereby is amended as follows:
Chapter 13, Article IV, paragraph 49. 1:
For the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this
Article and for the convenience of the citizens of the
City, there shall be a violation ticket in the words
and manner as follows:

The said violation notice shall be utilized by the Police
Department of this City in notifying offenders under this
Article, and the placing of said violation ticket under the
windshield wiper of the offending vehicle, or by personally
handing same to the operator of the vehicle, or by affixing
to the door handle of the vehicle, shall be considered

adequate service and the offender shall become liable
therefor for the payment of the penalty as specified
and in the manner and at the time as specified on the
said violation warrant.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after ten (10)
days following its passage and publication, as is by law required.
