AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS,
REGARDING LIQUOR LICENSE CLASSIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, has established license
classifications and fees for persons and premises that sell alcoholic beverages at retail and has, from
time to time, amended these license classifications and fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF MCHENRY,
McHenry County, Illinois as follows:
SECTION 1: That paragraph (1) of Section 4-6, "License classification and fees; limitation on
number of licenses," of the Municipal Code, City of McHenry, Illinois, shall be amended to read as follows:
(1) Class A license shall authorize the sale of alcoholic liquors for consumption on the
premises and retail sale of packaged liquors. The annual fee for a Class A license shall be One Thousand
Four Hundred Dollars ($1,400.00). No more than twenty-five (25) Class A licenses shall be in force in the
City at any time.
Class Al license shall authorize the sale of beer and wine for consumption on the premises and
retail sale of packaged beer and wine. The annual fee for a Class Al license shall be One Thousand,
Two Hundred, Fifty Dollars, ($1,250.00). No more than zero (0) Class Al license shall be in force in the
City at any time.
SECTION 2: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, sentence, or provision of this
ordinance shall be adjudge by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not
affect, impair, invalidate or nullify the remainder thereof, which remainder shall remain and continue in full
force and effect.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage, approval, and
publication in pamphlet form (which publication is hereby authorized) as provided by the law.
