An Ordinance Amending City of McHenry Municipal Code Chapter 2
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY,
MCHENRY COUNTY, as follows:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 2, Section 2-19.1 Mayor Salary of the City of
McHenry Municipal Code shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced as follows:
Section 2-19.1 Salary.
The Mayor of the City of McHenry shall receive Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($15,000) as an annual salary.
The Mayor of the City of McHenry herein designated as the City's Liquor Control
Commissioner (reference Section 4-2 of this Code) shall receive compensation in that
capacity as follows:
$1,500 per year annual flat fee; plus
$200 stipend per Liquor License Ordinance Violation Hearing held.
The aforesaid salary, fee and stipend shall be payable to said municipal officer
who is elected in the 2005 and subsequent municipal elections.
SECTION 2: That Chapter 2, Section 2-87.1 City Clerk Compensation of the
City of McHenry Municipal Code, shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced as follows:
Section 2-87.1 Compensation
The City Clerk shall receive Four Hundred Dollars ($400) per month plus Seventy
Five Dollars ($75.00) per meeting attended.
The aforesaid compensation shall be payable to said municipal officer elected in
the 2005 and subsequent municipal elections.
SECTION 3: That Section 2-121 City Collector Office Created; Clerk to be
and Section 2-122 Duties shall be deleted in their entirety.
SECTION 4: That Section 2-100.1 Treasurer Salary shall be deleted in its
entirety and replaced as follows:
Section 2-100.1 Salary.
The City Treasurer shall receive One Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($1,800)
per year as salary.
The aforesaid salary shall be paid to said municipal officer elected in the 2005 and
subsequent municipal elections.
SECTION 5: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, sentence or provision
of this ordinance shall be adjudged by any Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
such judgment shall not affect, impair, invalidate or nullify the remainder thereof, which
remainder shall remain and continue in full force and effect.
SECTION 6: All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict are hereby repealed to the
extend of such conflict.
SECTION 7: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage,
approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
