AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 26 OF THE
CITY OF MCHENRY MUNICIPAL CODE, BULK WATER RATES
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council have determined that it is in the best interest
of the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of McHenry to increase the charges
for water purchased in bulk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Section 26-24, of Chapter 26, shall be and hereby is, amended to
insert the following new paragraph between the existing second and third paragraph of said
section:
The rates for water sold in bulk shall be as follows: $25 - 500 gallons;
$50 - 1,000 gallons; and $75 - 2,000 gallons. Tickets for water to be sold in
bulk may be purchased from the City Clerk during normal business hours.
SECTION 2: All ordinances of parts thereof in conflict with the terms and provisions
hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the
authority of the Corporate Authorities of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on September 1, 2002,
and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
