The Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Stanek on Monday, December 29, 1980 at 8 P.M. At roll call, the following aldermen were present: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Absent: Pepping, Adams. Also in attendance were Supt. Weber, City Clerk Gilpin and Chief Pasenelli. Motion by Datz, seconded by Nolan, to accept the minutes of the December 15, 1980 Regular Meeting as read. Voting Aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Pepping, Adams. Motion carried. °1 Motion by Harker, seconded by Nolan, to pass a Resolution supporting the relocation and construction of a new McHenry Hospital and have the Resolution sent to board members of the Health Systems Agency of Lake, Kane and McHenry Counties. Voting Aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Pepping, Adams. Motion carried. Motion by Schooley, seconded by Meurer, to accept the bid of Lakeland Construction Co. for installation of two 90 foot long by 7 foot diameter parallel steel culvert pipes in Boone Creek at the ex- tension of Oak Drive in Lakeland Park at a price of $25,720.00. Voting Aye: Nolan„ Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Pepping, Adams. Motion carried. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Meurer, to pass an Ordinance annexing Lot 6 at the corner of Green Street and First Avenue which was recently donated to the city by Dr. and Mrs. Lee Gladstone. Motion by Harker, seconded by Wieser, to concur with Mayor's nomination of Richard J. Weber to serve as Superintendent of Public Works at an annual salary of $24,000.00 with no provisions for longevity pay, said salary to be effective through the 1981-82 Fiscal Year. Voting Aye: Nolan, Harker,'Datz, Wieser, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Pass: Schooley Absent: Pepping, Adams. Motion carried. Motion by Datz, seconded by Schooley, to authorize the pur- chase of fixtures for installation of�washrooms at Wells 5 & 6. Voting Aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Pepping, Adams. Motion carried. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Harker, to authorize and approve the permit application for construction of an enclosed canopy at the Fox Hole Tap on Riverside Drive with the specification that the owners agree in writing to three legal requirements as outlined by City Attorney Narusis. Voting Aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Pepping, Adams. Motion carried. Motion by Schooley, seconded by Harker, to raise the minimum fee for snowplowing outside the city limits to $250 with a maximum of $450 for Feger's subdivision; Country'Club Drive and Park Street snow- plowing fees are to remain the same as last year (minimum of $200, maximum of $400). Motion by Schooley, seconded by Harker, to inform subdivision spokesmen that the city will no longer plow areas outside the city limits during the 1981-82 winter season. Voting Aye: Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Pass: Nolan. Absent: Pepping, Adams. Motion carried. Motion by Schooley, seconded by Meurer, that Oak Drive in Lakeland Park be extended southbound and that the present Denise Drive be renamed Oak Drive to its intersection with Orleans Street on the south. Voting Aye: Harker, Nolan, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Pepping, Adams. Motion carried. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Schooley, to adjourn.
