At roll cal the fol owing aldermen were present: Meurer, Serritella, Smith, Wieser, Datz, Busse,�Nolan. Pepping. Absent: Mayor Stanek. Also in attendance were Supt. Halvensl ben, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Chief Pasenelli. Absent: Park Directo Merkel. In the absence of Mayor Stanek, Nolan made a motion, seconded by Datz, to appoint Alderman Pepping as mayor pro em to conduct this meeting. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Serrite la, to appoint Alderman Smith as mayor pro tem. Smith declined the appointment and Serritella and Wieser withdrew their motion. Voting on original motion. Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Smith, Wieser, Datz, Busse, Nolan, Pepping. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Serritel a, to accept the minutes of the November 29, 1982 Regular meeting as presen ed. Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Smit Wieser, Datz, Busse, Nolan, Pepping. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. A letter from Baxter & Woodman advise that eleven companies had submitted bids for the Bull Valley Road water m in and sanitary sewer exten- sion projects. Baxter & Woodman's estimate of he project was $675,000.00. The low bidder was E.M. Melahn Construction Com any of Algonquin at a bid of $432,238.75 at 240 days to complete. Motion by Smith, seconded by Datz, to award the bid for the Bull Valley Road water main and sanitary sewer ex ten ion project to the low bidder, E.M. Melahn Construction Company at the bid pr'ce of $432,238.75 at 240 days to complete. Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Smith, Wieser, Datz, Busse, Nolan, Pepping. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Datz, seconded by Busse, tolauthorize and approve payment of $250.00 to Herbert Harrison Appraisal Compan for an appraisal of one-half acre of land immediately south of the existing hicago Northwestern Railroad parking lot on the west side of the tracks off ain Street, said appraisal to be used in a grant application from I.D.O.T. for larger commuter parking facilities. Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Smith, Wieser, Datz, Busse, Nolan, Pepping. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Datz, seconded by Serritell , payment for Christmas checks to city employees t regular part-time, and $10.00 for other part-ti e Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Smit , Pepping. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. to authorize and approve $25.00 for full time and people. Wieser, Datz, Busse, Nolan, Motion by Wieser, seconded by Serritella, to table the request of Attorney John Lampe for an annexation hearing in December on the Neumann annexation until sometime in January. Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Smit�, Wieser, Datz, Busse, Nolan, Pepping. Votin Nay: None. Absen None. Motion carried.
