The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Council Mayor Stanek on Monday, November 30, 1981 at 8 P.M. At roll call the Meeting following aldermen were present: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Also in attendance were Supt. Weber, Attorney Attend- Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Chief Pasenelli, Park Director Merkel. ance Motion by Smith, seconded by Datz, to approve the minutes of the November 16, 1981 regular meeting as presented. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. A request for a Class "H" liquor license by McHenry Delicatessen Committee was referred to the License Committee. Liquor License A proposal for disposition of used squad cars was referred Committee to the Purchasing Committee. Police der Equipment Motion by Pepping, seconded by Harker, to approve the recommenda- tion of the Finance Committee to give a one-time bonus to the city employees Employees as follows: regular part-time employees (4) - $300; regular full-time Bonus employees (44) $500; supervisory personnel (8) $600; department heads (4) $800. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Harker, to authorize payment of Bonus bonuses to the employees by December 11, 1981. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Meurer, to authorize payment of the traditional Christmas check for $10 to other city employees not covered Employees by other bonuses. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Datz, to continue the city's Wages present practice of paying aldermen from the General Fund and not deducting Monday, November 30, 1981 social security from their paychecks. Page 2 Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Mayor Stanek called for a recess at 8:55 P.M. The meeting reconvened at 9:06 P.M. with everyone still in attendance. Motion by Harker, seconded by Smith, to approve the sewer hookup permit for Neil Guintoli at 711 N. Country Club Drive and to make Sewer Dept. the letter he submitted a part of the record of the minutes of this Agreements meeting wherein he agreed to maintain the sewer line to his property. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Serritella, to authorize the Boone Creek expenditure of $5,000 - $6,000 to Lakeland Construction Company for Dredge dredging Boone Creek from the confluence of the two creeks to the Maple Authoriza- Avenue bridge with the stipulation that if the dredging cannot be com- tion pleted before winter sets in, payment will be made on pro-rata basis. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Harker, to authorize payment to MFT Hampton, Lenzini Renwick for the following projects: Final on preliminary Meadow Lane engineering for Phase I of Meadow Lane FAU project in the amount of $419.01 and payment of $10,976.51 for Phase II partial engineering. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. A proposal from the School Administration offices on Main Street Parking. Committee requesting the use of parking spaces in the city's Main Street Parking Lot was referred to the Street and Sidewalk Committee. Discussion was held regarding: McHenry Shores annexation proposal; MCH. Shores Annexation dial -a -ride requests and apartment building complaints. RTA Building Motion by Nolan, seconded by Meurer, to go into Executive Session Executive Session at 10:25 P.M. for the purpose of discussing pending litigation.
