John Durkin, of Arthur Gallagher & Co. addressed the Council
concerning renewal of property, liability, automobile and crime
coverage insurance. Durkin reported that International Insurance
Company was offering the City a complete and competitive renewal
program with a risk management approach. Alderman Lieder, Chairman

Basic cost of the insurance would be $61,421 which was a 42 percent
increase over last year. Using the 1985 loss figures, the premium
would be $73,679 for a 71 percent increase. If the City experiences
