The recessed Public Hearing on the Third Amendment to a Pre -Annexation Agreement by McHenry Lakes Estates Manor was called to order by Mayor Stanek on Monday, October 27, 1980 at 7:35 P.M. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Absent: Adams. Also in attendance were City Attorney Narusis, City Clerk Gilpin, Petitioner Howard Orleans, Petitioner's attorney Dan Curran, Land planner Howard Holtzman, Engineer John Smith and Court Reporter Betty Pigoni. Members of the audience were: Edward Neumann, Plan Commission Member Lynne Donarski and newspaper reporters' Ricki Hoffman and Tony Oliver. Following lengthy discussion on road widths, easement widths, timetable for construction of recreational facilities and establishment of an escrow account to guarantee construction of a swimming pool and club house, the Council decided to approve the concept of the development as proposed. Mayor Stanek called a recess at 9:07 P.M. The meeting reconvened at 9:24 P.M. with everyone still in attendance. Another recess was called at 9:33 P.M. The meeting reconvened at 9:48 P.M. with everyone still in attendance. Motion by Harker, seconded by Nolan, to approve the concept of the McHenry Lakes Manor subdivision for the amended pre -annexation agreement and to instruct the attorneys to incorporate tonight's discussion into the final agreement and bring it back to the council for final approval. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Adams. Motion carried. Motion by Schooley, seconded by Datz, to recess this public hearing to Thursday, November 13, 1980 at 7:30 P.M. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None.
