THURSDAY, OCTOB�R 15, 1981 7:30 P.M.
The Special Meeting of th4 City Council was called to order by Mayor
Stanek at 7:35 P.M. on Thursday, October 15, 1981. Purpose of the meeting
was to discuss restructuring of city jobs and to handle any and all business
which might properly come before the'Council. At roll call, the following
aldermen were present: Pepping, Dat�, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Nolan
arrived at 7:48 P.M. Absent: Harke�.
Also in attendance were S�pt. Weber, Clerk Gilpin, Park Director
Merkel. Attorney Narusis arrived at :50 P.M.
Discussion was held on re tructuring the duties of the Park and the
Public Works Departments. Alderman epping outlined a proposed Job Structure
Chart of each department on the blac board with input from the Council, a copy
of which is on the following page. copy was to be given the aldermen so they
could study it anc submit additional comments at the next meeting. Pepping

also asked that the aldermen study t�e relative level of one job in relation to
another and then give consideration �s to how a wage structure should be applied.
Pepping noted that for every one of the levels on the proposed Job Structure
Chart, a separate job description must be prepared.

Motion by Nolan, seconded by Meurer, to set Thursday, November 5, 1981
at 7:30 P.M. for the continuation of this restructuring meeting.

to the First National Bank of Woodstock requesting immediate payment of the
$70,000.00 in the aforesaid bank's Fetter of Credit # 79-109 in connection with Resolu-

Motion by Wieser, seconded by Meure�, to authorize the Supt. of Public
Works to make sidewalk repairs wherever he feels they are needed on the condi-
tion that the property owners involved will pay for the material and the city
will furnish the labor.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Datz, Wieser,'' Smith, Serritella, Nolan, Meurer.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Harker.
Motion carried.
Motion by Wieser, seconded by SmitY�, to authorize the Supt. of Public
Works to install gravel in the public parking 'lot at the rear of the buildings
east of Riverside Drive.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Datz, Wieser,i Smith, Serritella, Nolan, Meurer.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Harker.
Motion carried.
Motion by Wieser, seconded by Smitto adjourn.
