WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 1988 8:00 P.M.
The Regular Meeting of the McHenry City Council was called to order
by Mayor Busse on Wednesday, September 21, 1988 at 8 P.M. at City Hall. At
roll call the following Aldermen were present: Bolger, Lieder, Smith, Council
McClatchey, Patterson, Serritella. Absent: Nolan, Teta. City staff in Mt .
attendance were Supt. Batt, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Park Director Attend.
Merkel, Chief Joyce, Finance and Personnel Administrator Vitas, Richard
Greenwood.
Attorney Tom Zank, representing Amoco Oil Company, addressed the
Council to request a continuation of the Annexation Hearing on the Amoco
Petition. The Council set Thursday, October 27, 1988 at 8:00 P.M. for the
continued hearing on the Amoco Annexation Petition.
Motion by Patterson, seconded by Bolger, to accept the minutes
of the September 7, 1988 and September 14, 1988 Regular Minutes as
presented.
Voting Aye: Bolger, Lieder, Smith, McClatchey,
Patterson, Serritella.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Nolan, Teta.

Representatives of Martin Woods II were in attendance to present Subds.
a concept plan for 220 acres of property in the northwest corner of the
City for construction of 162 homes. Following discussion they were
authorized to proceed to the Plan Commission with their proposal.
Developer Brian Cunat and his attorney, Sam Diamond appeared
before the Council to present a concept plan for 78 acres of property on
the south side of McCullom Lake Road between Fawn Ridge Apartment complex
and Petersen Park. They were requesting permission to proceed to the
Plan Commission and Zoning Board for annexation and zoning for
single-family homes, town houses and an apartment complex on the site.
They were authorized to proceed to the Plan Commission.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Patterson, to authorize the Mayor
and City Clerk to sign engineering agreements with Baxter & Woodman as
presented for design replacement of the Millstream Pumping Station and
for construction of a new seawall at the Sewer Plant to provide access
for construction equipment along the riverbank area in an amount not to
exceed $8,000 for the Millstream Pumping Station and $10,000 for the
construction of a new seawall.

Mayor Busse announced that he wanted to appoint Connie Blietz to
serve as an advisory member on the McHenry Area Youth Commission
representing the City of McHenry.
Motion by Serritella, seconded by McClatchey, to approve the
Mayor's appointment of Connie Blietz to serve as Mc Henry's representative
on the McHenry Area Youth Commission Board Advisory Committee.
Voting Aye: Bolger, Lieder, Smith, McClatchey,
Patterson, Serritella.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Nolan, Teta.

Treasurer's Report as presented.

Mayor Busse proclaimed the week of September 17 - 23, 1988 as Procla-
Constitution Week in the City of McHenry and urged all citizens to pay mations
special attention during that week to our Federal Constitution and the
advantage of american citizenship.

session at 9:45 P.M. to discuss property acquisition and personnel. Exec.
