The Regular Meeting of the City Coun it was called to order by Mayor Stanek on Monday, September 20, 1982 at :00 P.M. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Pepping, Nol n, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Absent: None. Also in a tendance were Superintendent Halvensleben, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, hief Pasenelli, Park Director Merkel. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Datz, t accept the minutes of the September 8, 1982 Regular Meeting as presented. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, W eser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. A proposed ordinance on the revised permit fees for restaurants, itinerant restaurants and milk vendors was tabled. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Serrit lla, to pass an ordinance amending the turn -on water service charges for,�non-payment of water bills to $20.00. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Meurer, seconded by Datz, to pass an ordinance amend- ing the City's "Driving Under the Influence" Ordinance to meet State standards. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Discussion was held on the five letters sent to the Council requesting permission to establish electronic video game businesses. It was the concensus of the Council that no change would be made in the present policy and no further video game businesses would be issued permits at this time. The matter will be reviewed after the one existing video game business has been in operation one year. Motion by Smith, seconded by Wieser to table discussion on the mayor's proposal to rename Whispering Oaks Pa k to George Harker Park in honor of the former alderman. Voting Aye: Datz, Wieser, Smith, erritella. Voting Nay: Pepping, Nolan, Meure . Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Nolan, to accept the August Treasurer's Report as presented. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Smith, to accept the August Clerk's Report as presented. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. The meeting reconvened at 9:02 P.M. with everyone still in attendance. Purchase Motion by Nolan, seconded by Meurer,to accept the recommendation of Public Works the Purchasing Committee to ad ertise and solicit price quotations on two 22 ton trucks for the Public W rks Department. Price Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Proposals Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Developer Motion by Smith, seconded�by Serritella, to pay developer donation fees Donations to the Library in the amount of $2,845.66 and to School Districts No. 15 and No. 156 in the amount of $4,490.60 each which includes all fees collected thru 9-1-82. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Authoriza- tions Parks Misc.
