MONDAY, AUGUST 8, 1988 10:10 P.M.
A Special Meeting of the McHenry City Council was called to
order by Mayor Busse on Monday, August 8, 1988 at 10:10 P.M. at City
Hall. At roll call the following Aldermen were present: Bolger, Nolan,
Lieder, Teta, Smith, Patterson, Serritella. Absent: McClatchey. City
staff in attendance were Attorney Narusis., Clerk Gilpin, Park Director
Merkel, Finance and Personnel Administrator Vitas, Director of
Development Greenwood.

Attendance
The purpose of the meeting was to set a date for the sale of
$2,700,000 Water Works and Sewerage Revenue Bonds Series 1988 and to pass Bonds
a resolution approving the Official Statement of the City of McHenry
directing distribution of the Official Statement for the sale of the
Bonds.
Harold Warren of Warren & Associates addressed the Council and
distributed a draft of the Official Statement and asked for comments or
questions from the Council members. Upon final approval, the Official
Statement would be sent to Moody's Investment Services to obtain a bond
rating. Upon receipt of the rating from Moody's, the Bonds will be put
out for sale on August 29, 1988.
Motion by Lieder, seconded by Patterson, to pass a resolution
approving the Official Statement of the City of McHenry, McHenry County,
Illinois and directing distribution of the Official Statement for the
sale of $2,700,000 Water Works and Sewerage Revenue Bonds Series 1988 of
said City.
Voting Aye: Nolan, Lieder, Teta, Smith,
Patterson, Serritella.,
Voting Nay: Bolger.
Absent: McClatchey.
Motion carried.

Motion by Lieder, seconded by Patterson, to set a sale date for
the $2,700,000 Water Works and Sewerage Revenue Bonds Series 1988 for 12 Bonds
Noon on Monday, August 29, 1988 and to set a Special Meeting on Monday,
August 29, 1988 at 7:00 P.M. to award the bid for the sale of the Bonds.
Voting Aye: Nolan, Lieder, Teta, Smith,
Patterson, Serritella.
Voting Nay: Bolger.
Absent: McClatchey.
Motion carried.
Warren announced that the closing date for the Bonds would be
two to three weeks after awarding of the bids. That is when the money
would be received.
In another matter, Mayor Busse announced that Building and
Zoning Administrator John Zabor had submitted his resignation effective
August 19, 1988. In the interim Mayor Busse wished to appoint Director
of Development Richard Greenwood as acting Building and Zoning
Administrator and Enforcing Officer until a successor is appointed.
Motion by Lieder, seconded by Serritella, to approve the Mayor's
appointment of Richard Greenwood as acting Building and Zoning
Administrator until the successor can be appointed to that position.
Voting Aye: Nolan, Lieder, Teta, Smith,
Patterson, Serritella.
Voting Nay: Bolger.
Absent: McClatchey.
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Patterson, to adjourn.
Voting Aye: Bolger, Nolan, Lieder, Teta, Smith,
Smith, Serritella.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: McClatchey.
Motion carried.
