The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by council Mayor Stanek on Monday, July 20, 1981 at 8 P.M. At roll call the following Mtg. aldermen were present: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Serritella, Attend- ance Meurer. Absent: Wieser. Also in attendance were Supt. Weber, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Chief Pasenelli. Park Director Merkel arrived at 10:15 P.M. Motion by Serritella, seconded by Nolan, to accept the minutes of the July 6, 1981 regular meeting as read. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Wieser. Motion carried. Attorney Jeff Ladd, spokesman for the McHenry Hospital Board of Directors, addressed the Council to ask that the Council pass a Resolution Resolu- tion of Intent which would allow the McHenry Hospital to issue Industrial Revenue Bonds through the City of McHenry to finance construction of a new hospital at the Bull Valley site, contingent upon approval of the new facility plans by the proper county and state agencies. Motion by Harker, seconded by Serritella, to pass a Resolution of McHenry Intent and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign and execute the Memorandum Hospital of Agreement for use of revenue bonds to finance McHenry Hospital facilities. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Wieser. Motion carried. Motion by Meurer, seconded by Datz, to pass a Resolution supporting Resolu- tion the relocation of McHenry Hospital. Motion by Smith, seconded by Pepping, to abolish the front yard Fence requirements in the City of McHenry Fence Ordinance. Ordinance Motion by Nolan, seconded by Serritella, to table matters relating to changes in the Fence Ordinance. Mayor Stanek called for a recess at 9:01 P.M. The meeting reconvened at 9:06 P.M. with everyone still in attendance. After discussion, Smith withdrew his original motion and Pepping withdrew his second. Therefore there was no need for the motion to table. Motion by Harker, seconded by Serritella, to authorize Baxter & Woodman, city engineers, to prepare specifications for pumping equipment Authorize Well & for Well No. 7 and to advertise for bids. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Wieser. Motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Nolan, to grant permission for use of Park Petersen Park for baseball tournaments contingent upon receipt of certificates Authori- zation of insurance from the tournament sponsors as follows: July 24, 25 & 26 for the annual McHenry VFW 16-inch league tournament and August 7, 8 & 9 for the Rusty Nail Annual Softball tournament. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Wieser. Motion carried.
