The Public Hearing was called to order by Mayor Stanek on Monday July 16, 1984 at 7:55 P.M. in city hall. At roll call the following Aldermen were present: Bolger, Nolan, Busse, McClatchey, Smith, Serritella, Snell. Absent: Datz. City staff in attendance were Supt. Halvensleben, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin. Members of the audience were Mr. Matt Pfieffer, President of Professional Spectacle Makers, Ltd. and Mrs. Pfieffer; Jack Meister, Attorney representing Professional Spectacle Makers; Richard Svihlik, Assistant Director of McHenry City ESDA; John Bobbe of Pioneer Center; Michael Wieser; Gregg Ignarski of Clark Outdoor Spraying; and Attorney Jeff Ladd representing NIMED (McHenry Hospital). Mayor Stanek announced that the Public Hearing was being held regarding a plan by Professional Spectacle Makers, Ltd. to finance, construct and equipped a commercial building facility consisting of one or more store or office units to be located on Lots 7 thru 14 inclusive in Block 3 of Meadow Lane Subdivision in the City of McHenry with frontages on Illinois Route 31, Kane Avenue and Oak Street. Professional Spectacle Makers is requesting that the City issue Industrial Development Revenue Bonds in the amount not to exceed $1,200,000.00. This Public Hearing is required by the tax equity and Financial Responsibility Act of 1982. Written and oral comments are to be heard at this hearing. A certificate of publication is on file in the City Clerk's Office regarding this matter which was published in the McHenry Plaindealer June 29, 1984. Mayor Stanek asked the City Clerk if any written comments had been filed in her office regarding this matter. She replied none had been filed with her office. Mayor asked if anyone in the audience wished to present oral or written comments on the issuance of Industrial Development Revenue Bonds for Professional Spectacle Makers, Ltd. There was no response from the audience. There being no further business before the Council on this matter, Mayor asked for a motion to adjourn the hearing. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Bolger, to adjourn the Public Hearing at 7:58 P.M. Voting Aye: Bolger, Nolan, Busse, McClatchey, Smith, Snell, Serritella. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Datz. Motion carried.
