The Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Council Stanek on Monday, July 6, 1981 at 8 P.M. At roll call the following aldermen Mtgā€¢ were present: Meurer, Serritella, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan, Pepping. Absent: Attend - Smith. Also in attendance were Supt. Weber, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, ance Treasurer Meyer, Park Director Merkel. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Datz, to accept the minutes of the June 29, 1981 regular meeting as read. Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan, Pepping. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Smith. Motion carried. Mayor Stanek nominated Bob Logan of 4829 Pyndale Drive to the Library Appoint- ments Board to fill the unexpired term of Pat Lawler with the term to expire 7-1-83. Motion by Harker, seconded by Datz, to concur with the mayor's nomination Library of Logan to the Library Board. Board Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan, Pepping. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Smith. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Nolan, to pass an Ordinance amending Ordinance the Subdivision Control Ordinance in various sections. Subdivi- sion Con - Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan, Pepping. trol Ordi- nance Voting Nay: None. Absent: Smith. Motion carried. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Harker, to concur with the recommendation Ordi- of the Zoning Board of Appeals and pass an Ordinance rezoning the property at the nance Zoning northeast corner of Beach & Elm from R-3A to B-1. Ordinance Voting Aye: Serritella, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan, Pepping. Voting Nay: Meurer. Absent: Smith. Motion carried. Monday, July 6, 1981 Page 2 Motion by Nolan, seconded by Wieser, to publish the Subdivision Control Ordinance amendments passed tonight in pamphlet form. Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan, Pepping. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Smith. Motion carried. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Meurer, to defer action on the fence Fence variation request made by Peter Ippolito at 4515 W. Ramble Road, until the next varia- meeting. tion Voting Aye: Meurer, Serritella, Wieser, Nolan. Voting Nay: Datz, Harker, Pepping, Stanek. Absent: Smith. 11 Motion did not carry. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Datz, that Ippolito be required to if conform to the City Ordinance regarding fences and since the city was at fault in approving his fence permit, the City should reimburse him for all costs of it relocating the fence with theanount to be mutually agreed upon between Ippolito and Supt. Weber. Voting Aye: Datz, Harker, Pepping, Stanek. Voting Nay: Meurer,Serritella, Wieser. Pass: Nolan. Absent: Smith. There not being a sufficient majority to pass the motion, Stanek declared the motion did not carry. Mayor Stanek conferred with Ippolito who agreed to continue the matter it until the July 20, 1981 regular meeting.
