WEDNESDAY, JULY 1, 1987 8:00 P.M.
The Regular Meeting of the McHenry City Council was called to order
by Mayor Busse on Wednesday, July 1 , 1987 at 8 P.M. at City Hall . At roll Council
call the following Aldermen were present: Bolger, Lieder, Patterson, Smith, Meeting
Serritella, Teta. Absent: Nolan, McClatchey. City staff in attendance were Attendance
Supt. Batt, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Park Director Merkel, Chief Joyce.
Motion by Lieder, seconded by Serritella, to accept the minutes
of the June 24, 1987 Regular Meeting as presented.
Voting Aye: Bolger, Lleder, Patterson, Smith,
Serritella, Teta.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: McClatchey, Nolan.

Motion by Bolger, seconded by Teta,
permit for Southwestern Company as presented.

Motion by Lieder, seconded by Serritella, to pass an ordinance
amending the Subdivision Control Ordinance Section 2, Page 4, as
presented.

Motion carried.
Discussion was held on a proposed Ordinance to regulate Mc Cullom
Lake beaches and the lake itself. It was the consensus of opinion to
send the ordinance back to the Park Committee for further discussion.
Discussion was held on the proposed Knox Park Pond development.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Serritella, to authorize Baxter &
Woodman to engineer the Knox Park Pond project.

A petition containing 200 names of senior citizens was presented Petitions
by Eleanor Perry requesting a reduction in the City vehicle stickers for
senior citizens. No action was taken.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Lieder, to schedule a Special
Meeting of the City Council for Monday, July 6, 1987 at 7:00 P.M. for the
purpose of considering the Zoning Board Recommendation on the McHenry
Township Fire Protection District Zoning Petition. Also for any and all
other business which might properly come before the Council.
Voting Aye: Bolger, Lieder, Patterson, Smith,
Serritella, Teta.

Mayor Busse called for a recess at 9:28 P.M. The meeting
reconvened at 9:37 P.M. with everyone still in attendance.
Motion by Serritella, seconded by Smith, to approve the Purchases -
recommendation of the Purchasing Committee to purchase a 1987 Plymouth Parks
Reliant station wagon from Sunnyside Company at the low price proposal of
$10,394 as a vehicle for the Park Department with no trade-in allowance.

Serritella, Teta.

Motion carried.
Motion by Serritella, seconded by Patterson, to approve the
recommendation of the Purchasing Committee and accept the price proposal
of Althoff Inc. in the amount of $1,799 for washroom repairs in Veteran's Park Improv.

Easements vacating an easement on the K-Mart property in lots 1 and 2 of Riverside
Terrace Subdivision and to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the
Ordinance upon receipt of replacement watermain easements.

Motion by Teta, seconded by Patterson, to approve the transfer
Employees of Public Works employee Ernie Pieroni from the Street Division to the
Water Division and to classify his job position as Water Operator No. 1
as recommended by the Superintendent of Public Works.

Motion by Patterson, seconded by Serritella, to approve issuance
Parks- of picnic beer permits as presented.

Motion by Teta, seconded by Lieder, to pass a resolution
Resolutionsauthorizing the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund to act on omitted
Wages & service for two employees of the McHenry Public Library.

Police Officers in the McHenry Police Department by one (24 to 25,
Including the Chief).

Executive Motion by Smith, seconded by Patterson, to go into executive
Session session at 10:06 P.M. to discuss pending litigation and property
acquisition.
