The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Stanek on Monday, June 21, 1982 at 8 P.M.1 At roll call the following aldermen were present: Pepping, Nolan, Harker�erkel. Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Absent: None. Also in atendance were Supt. Halvensleben, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Park Director Absent Chief Pasenelli. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Datz, June 7, 1982 Regular Meeting as presented. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. to accept the minutes of the Oatz, Wieser, Smith, Mayor Stanek presented a large display to Nancy Fike of the McHenry County Historical Society which pictured const uction of the Route 120 bridge in 1924. Motion by Harker, seconded by Meure to authorize and approve payment of $20,814.02 to Curran Contracting C for resurfacing of several streets in Lakeland Park in the Fall of 1981.', Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Harker, seconded by Nolan, to authorize use of the city street sweeper for sweeping the parking hot at Royal Terrace for a fee of $50 per hour with a minimum charge of $50. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Meurer, Serritella. Voting Nay: Wieser. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Hark'�er, to change the date of the July 7, 1982 regular meeting to July 12, 1982, at 8 P.M. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Meurer, Wieser, Serritella. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Mayor Stanek called for a short recess at 9:30 P.M. The meeting reconvened at 9:42 P.M. with everyone still in attendance. Motion by Serritella, seconded by Meurer, to authorize the grading and oiling of Oak Street From Orleans Street north over the bridge at a cost not to exceed $1,500. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Meurer, Serritella, Wieser. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Authorizatiod Streets Authorization Council Meeting Authoriza- tions Streets- Misc. Monday, June 21, 1982 City Motion by Harker, seconded by Smith, Clerks the purchase of a cash register} for the Clerk's Purchase from Stan's Office Supply of Woodstock. Voting Aye: Pepping,; Nolan, Harker, SerriteTla,Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. to authorize and approve Office at a cost of $800 Datz, Wieser, Smith, Motion by Wieser, seconded by Smith, to deny the request of McHenry Elementary School Distrlict #15 for a contribution of $700 toward a new gymnasium scoreboard. Voting Aye: Pepping,, Wieser, Smith, Datz. Voting Nay: Nolan, Harker, Serritella, Meurer. Absent: None. There being a tie vote, Mayor Stanek cost a Nay vote and declared the motion failed. Motion by Serritella, seconded by Nolan, to contribute $700 Parks to McHenry Elementary School District #15 for one half of the cost of a Misc. new gymnasium scoreboard with the stipulation that the $700 will be reimbursed to the city through lincreased park programs fees during the 1982-83 season. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: Harker,IWieser, Smith. Absent: None. Motion carried. Attorney Narusis reported on a law suit in connection with 1979 Real Estate Tax Objections which involved the receipt of approximately Lawsuits $78. It was his opinion that the legal fees would be more than the $78 which would be received. It was the concensus of opinion of the Council not to respond to the "Notice to Produce" concerning this case. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Smith, to adjourn the meeting.
