MONDAY, JUNE 20, 1983 8:00 P.M.
The Regular Meeting of the McHenry City Council was called to order
by Mayor Stanek on Monday, June 20, 1983 in City Hall. At roll call the
following aldermen were present: Serritella, Snell, Smith, McClatchey, Datz,
Busse, Nolan,, Bolger. Absent: None.
Motion by Nolan, seconded by Datz, to accept the minutes of the
June 6, 1983 Public Hearing and of the June 6, 1983 Regular Meeting as presented.
Voting Aye: Serritella, Snell, Smith, McClatchey, Datz, Busse,
Nolan, Bolger.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: None.

tion of sanitation facilities at the Sewer Plant at a cost of approximately $19,000. Dept.

Motion by Bolger, seconded by Nolan, to ratify the action taken Subdivision

by the Plan Commission.

Charles Ostrander of the Multi -Family Construction Advisory Committee Awards
of Illinois presented a life safety award to the City of McHenry. Mayor Stanek
accepted the award and expressed the appreciation of the City.
Al Staub of Waste Management Inc. spoke to the Council on the need McH. Cty.
for a landfill in the County. No action was taken. Misc.
Mike Trgon of Clark Outdoor Spraying gave a report to the Council Mosquito
on the 1982 mosquito abatement program and discussed new technology that Abatement
Clark will use in future mosquito control programs.
Frank Cuda of 3404 Fairway Drive requested a permit for fireworks Fireworks &
display. No action was taken. Requests-Misc,
Motion by Nolan, seconded by Datz, to pass an ordinance authorizing
the Mayor and Clerk to sign an agreement for mobile team in-service training
unit program for the police department.

Discussion was held on forced annexations of islands of land in the
City. No action was taken.
Chairman Busse of the Finance Committee presented the proposed 1983-84
Appropriation Ordinance as recommended by the Finance Committee.
Motion by Busse, seconded by Nolan, to set July 6, 1983 at 7:30 P.M.
for Public Hearing on the Appropriation Ordinance.
