The Regular Meeting of the McHenry Cit Council was called to order Council by Mayor Stanek on Wednesday, June 2, 1982 at 8 I.M. The meeting was held Meeting on Wednesday because Memorial Day fell on the us al Monday meeting date. Also in atte dance: Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Chief Pasenelli, Park Director Merkel. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Serritella, to ratify the action Employees taken previously and hire an additional three summer laborers for the Public Works Department contingent upon the fact all are city residents. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Pepping, to approve Mayor Stanek's appointment of Mrs. Donna Tobeck to the City of McHenry Zoning Board of Appointment Appeals with hc- term to expire 4-30-87. Motion by Smith, seconded by Wieser, to amend the alcoholic beverage licen-- ordinance by increasing the number of C ass B licensesfrom four to Ordinance five -_:r Sullivan's Store on Elm Street contingent upon meeting the residency Liquor Lic. requirement. Motion by Meurer, seconded by Harker, to accept the recommendation Ward of the Special Ward Boundary Redistricting Committee and pass an ordinance Boundary establishing new ward boundary lines. Motion by Meurer, seconded by Nolan, o enter into a lease -purchase Police agreement with the State of Illinois for use of a CRT tube for the Police Purchases LEADS system at a cost of $107 per month for 36 months plus installation costs of $135. Motion by Weiser, seconded by Smith, to authorize and approve the ,Police purchase of 10 new batteries for the Police portable radios at a cost of $80 ;Purchases each from the Motorola Corporation'. Motion by Harker, seconded by Nolan, to authorize and approve the Park Dept. following purchases for the Park Department: A public address system for Purchases Knox Park Pool at $755 from Tones Music Store; 2 storage boxes from Carey Electric @ $272 each; 60' of fencing from Dura-Bilt Fence Co. for $975. McH.Hospital Motion by Harker, seconded by Serritella, to authorize City Attorney Authori- Narusis to draft an ordinance whereby the City Police Department would enforce zations no parking areas as designed by McHenry Hospital in their present parking lot. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Ordinance Motion by Smith, seconded by Meurer, to pass an ordinance renaming Street Barreville Road to Green Street within the city limits which is south to State Name Park Road. Change Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella,'' Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Park Beer Motion by Harker seconded by Serritella, to authorize and approve the Permits issuance of 8 Picnic Beer Permits to the following:Diane Calhoun on September 19, 1982; Tim Beck on July 5, 1982; Jamie White on May 30, 1982; John Sanders on September 12, 1982; Dennis Storlie on July 10, 1% ; Kenneth Suchomski on July 17, 1982; Lakes Cablevision on June 26, 1982; Dave Oeffling on June 13, 1982. Motion by Datz, seconded by Nolan, to "No authorize Chief Pasenelli Fireworks to post Parking" signs on McCullom Lake Road and Orleans Street for parking the July 4th fireworks display. Motion by Serritella, seconded by Har er, to pass �t. a resolution Resolution authorizing and approving the sale of liquor at Patrick's church grounds Authorization on June 25th and 26th for its Town & Country festival. Motion by Serritella, seconded by Meurer, to approve the request Fence of David Lowery at 5512 Shore Drive for a fence permit on the condition Permit that he sign an agreement to remove the fence if Alton Road is ever developed by the city next to his home. Mayor Stanek announced that he had made a committee appointment change for the 1982-83 fiscal year. All committees remain the same except that Appoint - Ed Datz will replace George Harker as Chairman of the Utilities Committee. ments The following reappointments were made by Mayor Stanek: Zoning Board of Appeals- Anna Mae Cuda and Robert Jessup with terms to expire 4-30-87; Plan Commission - Lynne Donarski, Sandra Eckstein, and Donald Toole with terms to expire 4-30-87; Library Board - Walter Morris, Marilyn Lean, and Janice Wegener with terms to expire -1-86; Po ice Pension Board - John D. Madl with term to expire 5-1-84; Police Commis ioners - John Albrecht with term to expire 4-30-85 and Board of Health - A gust Rossetti, MD and James McMahon, D.D.S. with terms to expire 5-1-83. Motion by Serritella, seconded by Pepping to cancel the Laufer Public annexation hearing scheduled for June 14, 1982ito a later date. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Harker 'to deny the request of McHenry McHenry County College for a donation of $12,660 from the City of McHenry County MFT funds for improvement of Route 14 near the', college entrance and furthermore College not to donate any money toward the project from any city funds.
