Mayor Stanek called to order a Special Meeting for the purpose of discussing possible land acquisition at 8 P.M. on Wednesday, May 7, 1980. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Adams, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Absent: Nolan, Motion by Wieser, seconded by Meurer, to go into Executive Session at the conclusion of the Public Hearing following this meeting. Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Adams, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Nolan. Motion carried. Mayor Stanek called to order the Public Hearing recessed from April 14, 1980 for the purpose of discussing the proposed Annexation Agreement by Faestel Investments for property located at the southeast corner of Crystal Lake and Bull Valley Roads known as Valleybrook Subdivision. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Adams, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Absent: Nolan. Also in attendance were: Petitioners David Faestel, Ray Schmitt and their Attorney Richard Zukowski; City Attorney Bernard Narusis,.City Clerk Barbara Gilpin.and Holly Riegel, Court Reporter. The petitioner proposed changes from what they had originally proposed at the last hearing. It was the consensus of opinion of the Council and Mayor Stanek that the bottom line for agreement on the annexation proposal was: 1. Leave the Parkland donation as originally proposed. 2. Petitioners must pay $75,000.00 toward a bridge over the creek when it is built. 3. The proposed by-pass road must be 24 feet wide with 8 foot paved shoulders. 4. Phasing of construction would be allowed as they proposed. 5. By-pass Road right-of-way easements must be dedicated up front. Petitioners requested a recess so that they could confer with their engineers and get soil borings in the area of the proposed bridge to try and determine what type structure is necessary. Motion by Harker, seconded by Adams, to recess the Public Hearing to Wednesday, June 11, 1980 at 8 P.M. Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Adams, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Wednesday, May, 7, 1980 Page 2 Voting Nay: None. Absent: Nolan. Motion carried. Mayor Stanek called for an Executive Session at 9:21 P.M. as previously moved by the Council at the beginning of this meeting for the purpose of dis- cussing land acquisition. Motion by Meurer, seconded by Schooley, to go back into Open Session at 9:42 P.M. Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Adams, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Nolan. Motion carried. Motion by Adams, seconded by Wieser, to adjourn. Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Adams, Wieser, Schooley, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Nolan. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:43 P.M.
