The Special Meeting of the McHenry City Council was called to order by Mayor Busse on Monday, May 5, 1986 at 7:30 P.M. in city hall. At roll call the following Aldermen were present: Bolger, Nolan, Lieder, Smith, Snell. Absent: Teta, McClatchey, Serritella. Al sp in attendance were Building Inspector Rosing, Attorney Narusis, City Clerk Gilpin and John Gann of Gann & Associates. Following discussion it was decided to set Tuesday, May 13, 1986 at 6:30 P.M. for a Committee Meeting of the Whole to inform Riverside Drive Merchants of the proposed timetable for replacement of the sanitary sewer. One was Performance Standards and the other was Agricultural and Revisions Conservancies. They would be discussed at the May 22, 1986 Special Meet- ing. He also said that one additional meeting would be needed in June to discuss the zoning district map. He presented a handout for suggested goals and changes. Gann also announced that the City decided to contract with him only for Work Element A and did not desire any of the optional work. Therefore, after preparation of the revised version of the ordinance, presumably after the Council reviews the final submissions at the May 22 and June meetings, his work would be complete. Optional work elements, in which the City did not commit to at the original start of the zoning revisions were as follows: Option B - Presentation and Public Hearing, Option C - Administrative Procedure Study, Option D - Production of Zon- ing Ordinance and Option E - Continuing Zoning Board Services. Discussion was then held on the booklet entitled Variances, Amendments and Conditional Uses. Mayor Busse called for a recess at 9:58 P.M. The meeting recon- vened at 10:12 P.M. with everyone still in attendance. Discussion then began on the booklet entitled Surface Mining Controls. During the discussion it was suggested that McHenry Sand and Gravel be contacted so they could review the proposed Surface Mining Con- trol booklet and present their opinions on some of the revisions. The next Special Meeting to discuss zoning revisions was set for May 22, 1986 at 7:30 P.M. in City Hall. Motion by Smith, seconded by Lieder, to adjourn. Voting Aye: Bolger, Lieder, Nolan, Smith, Snell. Voting Nay: None. Absent: McClatchey, Teta, Serritella. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 11:07 P.M. MAYOR CITY CLERK i
