HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 04/26/1989 - City CouncilSPECIAL MEETING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26, 1989 Prior to beginning the Special Meeting newly elected City Officials were sworn into office. There were William Busse as Mayor; Barbara Gilpin as City Clerk, Thomas C. Alverson as City Treasurer; Toni Council Donahue - Alderman Ward 1; Gary Lieder - Alderman Ward 2; Raymond Smith - Mtg. Alderman Ward 3; and Cecilia Serritella - Alderman Ward 4. Attend. Mayor Busse called to order the Special Meeting of the City Spec. Mtg. Council on Wednesday April 26, 1989 at 9:55 P.M. in City Hall. At roll call the following Aldermen were present: Bolger, Donahue, Teta, Lieder, Smith, McClatchey, Patterson, Serritella. Absent: None. City staff in attendance were Supt. Batt, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Park Director Merkel, Chief Joyce, Finance and Personnel Administrator Vitas, Director of Development Greenwood. Mayor Busse, acting as Liquor Commissioner, submitted a list of liquor license applications for renewal. Don's Submarine Sandwich Factory was requesting a Change from a Class G to a Class A liquor license. Motion by Patterson, seconded by Bolger, to pass an ordinance amending the Municipal Code for liquor licenses by increasing the number of Class A Liquor Licenses from 20 to 21 and decreasing the number of Ords. Class G liquor licenses from 4 to 3 as presented. Voting Aye: Bolger, Donahue, Lieder, Teta, Smith, Liquor McClatchey, Patterson, Serritella. Control Voting Nay: None. & Lic. Absent: None. Appointments- Motion by Serritella, seconded by Patterson, to approve the Annual Ctte. Mayor's Standing Committee appointments as presented.
