HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 04/26/1982 - City Council (2)ANNUAL MEETING
MONDAY, APRIL 26, 190 8 P.M.
The annual meeting of the McHenry City Council was called to order
by Mayor Stanek on Monday, April 26, 1982 at 8 P.M. At roll call the follow-
ing aldermen were present: Pepping, Nolan, Har, er, Datz, Wieser, Smith,
Serritella, Meurer. Absent: None. Also in attendance were Supt. Weber,
Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Chief Pasenelli'„ Park Director Merkel.
David Cain, President of the McHenry iospital Board and Bill Gray
of Blyth Eastman Paine Webber Health Care Funding, Inc. addressed the Council
and asked that the amount of public benefit previously approved for exten-
sion of sewer and water lines to the hospital site be increased. They based
their request on the fact that oversizing of tha lines to the hospital site
resulted in higher costs than smaller sized lines which would be needed for
service to the hospital only. This oversizing, according to Cain, would
benefit the city because properties along those utility lines could hook
into city utilities sometime in the future.
Motion by Pepping, seconded by Nolan, to authorize and approve an
increase in the City of McHenry's public benefit contribution to 25 percent
of the costs for extension of sewer and water lines to the hospital site.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Serritella, Meurer.
Voting Nay: Wieser.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
