Busse presented a plaque to former Mayor Joseph B. Stanek in recognition of h i s 12 years as Mayor and 4 years as Alderman in service to the City of McHenry. Mayor Stanek also received plaques from the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce and the McHenry Fiesta Day Committee. Mayor Busse also presented a resolution to retiring Alderman Edward Datz in recogni- tion of his service to the City of McHenry as Alderman of Ward 2 for 12 years. The following newly elected officials were given the oath of office by City Clerk Gilpin - Mayor William J. Busse, City Treasurer Jon J. Meyer, lst Ward Alderman Elizabeth Nolan, 2nd Ward Alderman Gary W. Lieder, 3rd Ward Alderman Ray L. Smith, 4th Ward Alderman Cecilia C. Serritella. City Clerk Barbara E. Gilpin was given her oath of office by Mayor Busse. The Special Meeting of the McHenry City Council was called to order by Mayor Busse on Monday, April 22, 1985 at 8:36 p.m. in city hall. At roll call the following Alderman were present: Bolger, Nolan, Lieder, McClatchey, Smith, Snell, Serritella. Note - A vacancy was created on the Board in Ward 2 with the election of Mayor Busse. City staff in attendance were Supt. Halvensleben, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Chief Joyce, Park Director Merkel. Motion by Bolger, seconded ing former Mayor Stanek and former their service to the City. Voting Aye: Bolger, Nolan, Serritella. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. by Nolan, to pass resolutions honor- 2nd Ward Alderman Edward Datz for Lieder, McClatchey, Smith, Snell Motion by Lieder, seconded by Snell, to approve the issuance of the following liquor licenses for the 1985-86 fiscal year. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Mayor Busse proposed a restructuring of the present standing Committees of the City Council. He asked that the Aldermen review the proposal and be prepared to vote on the matter at the next meeting. Discussion was held on changing the Council Meeting dates from Monday nights to Wednesday nights. Council Motion by Smith, seconded by Snell, to change the meeting dates Mtgs. of the City Council from Monday nights to Wednesday nights effective July Dates 3, 1985 on a 1 year trial basis. Voting Aye: McClatchey, Nolan, Smith, Snell, Lieder. Voting Nay: Bolger, Serritella. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by McClatchey, to adjourn.
