The regular meeting of the McHenry C'ty Council was called to order by Mayor Stanek on Monday, April 19, 198 at 8 P.M. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Pepping, No n, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Absent: None. Als in attendance were Supt. Weber, Attorney Narusis, Chief Pasenelli and C erk Gilpin. Motion by Harker, seconded by Peppin the April 5, 1982 minutes as presented. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Serritella. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. 1, to accept the minutes of Datz, Wieser, Smith, Meurer, Motion by Pepping, seconded by Nola , to concur with the recommenda- tions of the Finance Committee and allocate R venue Sharing Funds to be received in the 1982-83 Fiscal Year as follows: Utility Improvements McHenry Rescue Squad Mosquito Abatement Capital Equipment Items Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker: Serritella. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Datz, to approve and accept the 1982-83 Fiscal Year Control Budget as presented by the Finance Committee. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker Datz, Wieser, Smith, Meurer, Serritella. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Hark r, to approve the changes in the employee salary structure as recommended y the Finance Committeeto be effective May 1, 1982, with the understanding that the increment relating to Police overtime would be paid as special d ty incentive pay and not as part of their base salary. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Meurer, Serritella. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Meurer, to increase the mileage allowance from 15 cents to 20 cents per mile. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Meurer, Serritella. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Har er, to adopt an incentive program whereby an employee will receive a $100.00 bo us at the end of the fiscal year if he/she does not miss any scheduled work d ys during that year with the program to begin with the May 1, 1982 fiscal year. Motion by Smith, seconded by Datz, to authorize and approve the hiring of one full time person for the clerk s office effective May 1, 1982. Ordinance Motion by Smith, seconded by Wieser, to pass an ordinance designat- Stop Signs ing stop sign locations in McHenry Shores subdivision. Park Beer Motion by Smith, seconded by Serritella, to grant a Picnic Beer Permit Permit to the following: McHenry Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #691 on August 14, Bernard Scholz family on June 26; Mary F. Davis on June 26 and Easter Seal Softball Marathon on June 12 and 13. Voting Aye: Pepping Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Meurer, Serrite la. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Requests- Patricia Shanholtzer addressed the Council concerning the safety Misc. of children crossing Route 31 o get to Knox Park. The matter was taken under advisement. Monday, April 19, 1982 Page 3 Mayor Stanek proclaimed the Month of ay as McHenry Beautification Month and urged all citizens to join in the ob ervance. The meeting was recessed at 8:57 P.M. It reconvened at 9:10 P.M. with everyone still in attendance. A letter from Adeline Peklo sought th Council's attitude toward her proposal for a video game center at 803 N. Front Street. After lengthy discussion, it was decided that all requests or video game centers would be held in abeyance until after Labor Day. Al requests will be kept on file in the City Clerk's office until that dat . Motion by Smith, seconded by Serritella, to approve the March Treasurer's report as presented.
