MONDAY, APRIL 6, 1981 8 P.M.
The Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to order by
Council
Mayor Stanek on Monday, April 6, 1981 at 8 P.M. At roll call the following Mtg.
aldermen were present: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Adams, Schooley,
Attendance
Meurer. Absent: None.
Also in attendance were Supt. Weber, Attorney Narusis, Clerk Gilpin,
Chief Pasenelli, Park Director Merkel.
Motion by Nolan, seconded by Datz, to accept the minutes of the
March 23, 1981 Public Hearing on the McHenry Group annexation proposal and
the March 30, 1981 Regular Meeting as read.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Wieser, Adams, Schooley,
Meurer.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Pepping, to authorize the mayor and

Motion by Pepping, seconded by Harker, to approve the final draft

Motion by Pepping, seconded by Nolan, to authorize the expenditure
of $1,000.00 from the Parks Tree Removal and Planting Fund for purchase of
trees for Arbor Day plantings on April 24th.

Wieser.

Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Adams, to authorize the hiring of three
Employees former summer help employees for assistance in mowing parks during Easter
Week vacation at regular summer help pay.

Wieser.

Absent: None.
Motion carried.
FAU Motion by Schooley, seconded by Harker, to authorize the Phase 2
Project Engineering Design of the FAU Meadow Lane reconstruction g g project by Engineers
Hampton, Lenzini & Renwick.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Adams, Schooley, Meurer,
Wieser.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
The Purchasing Committee reported on the bid opening held April 6,
1981 for Concession Equipment.

%wards of the Purchasing Committee and award the bids as follows: Iroquois Popcorn

Co. of Elk Grove Village - 2 Cretor Profiteer Popcorn poppers at $750 each
or $1,500; and for 2 SteamroJr. hot dog steamers at $180 each or $360; and

award the bid to Montgomery Wards of Crystal Lake for two 12 cubic foot
refrigerators at $419 each or $838; and for one 23.1 cubic foot chest freezer
at $369.

The Mayor authorized the Public Property Committee to review permit
Committees;
parking in the Green Street Parking Lot for possible relocation of the permit Green St.!

The Street & Sidewalk Committee was instructed to report back on the

possibility of eliminating the Cab Stand Only Parking restriction on the north- tees
east corner of Green and Elm Streets.
