MONDAY, MARCH 19, 1984 7:15 P.M.
A Public Hearing of the McHenry City Council was called
to order by Mayor Stanek on Monday, March 19, 1984 at 7:28 p.m.
At roll_ call the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Busse,
Datz, McClatchey, Smith, Snell, Serritella.. Absent: Nolan. City
staff in attendance were Supt. Halvensleben, Attorney Narusis,
Clerk Gilpin, Chief Pasenelli, Park Director Merkel.
Purpose of the Public Hearing was to inform the Public
that the City of McHenry intends to make application to the
Illinois Community Development Assistance Program administered by
the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Community
Affairs to provide assistance for the following described pro-
ject: Construction of a 500,000 gallon capacity water tower
located on South Highway 31 adjacent to the Northern Illinois
Medical_ Center and 12 inch water lines running approximately
1,700 feet north and approximately 1,700 feet south from the
water tower and adjacent to Highway 31.
Notice of this Public Hearing was published in the
McHenry Plaindealer on March 2, 1984.
Mayor Stanek asked if there was anyone in the audience
who wished to make any written or verbal comments regarding this
project:. There was no response from the audience.
Mayor Stanek mentioned that John Bobbe of Pioneer
Center is drafting the grant application for this water tower
project. for the City of McHenry. Applications are to be sub-
mitted before April 15, 1984.
There being no further questions or comments from the
audience the Mayor requested a motion to adjourn.
Motion by McClatchey, seconded by Datz, to adjourn the
Public Hearing.
Voting Aye: Bolger, Busse, Datz, Smith, Snell,
McClatchey, Serritella.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Nolan.
Motion carried.
Public Hearing adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
