MONDAY, JANUARY 19, 1981 8 P.M.
The Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to order by council Mtg'
Mayor Stanek on Monday, January 19, 1981 at 8 p.m. At roll call the fol-%
lowing aldermen were present: Meurer, Schooley, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan,

Pepping. Absent: Adams. Also in attendance were Sup't Weber, Attorney ance
Narusis, Clerk Gilpin, Chief Pasenelli and Park Director Merkel.
Motion by Schooley, seconded by Nolan, to accept the minutes of -
the January 5, 1981 Regular Meeting as read.
Voting aye: Meurer, Schooley, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan, Pepping.
Voting nay: None.
Absent: Adams.
Motion carried.
Officer Anthony Militano, a representative of the McHenry Police
Officers Association, presented a large assortment of sports equipment to

the McHenry Park Department for use in various city park programs. Mayor
Stanek thanked the association in behalf of all the citizens of McHenry for
its generous donation.
Mayor Stanek authorized the Street and Sidewalk Committee to

study the matter of additional specifications for installation of decelera-
tion lanes.

in the Sewer Department and to authorize the Mayor to offer the full time
position to Vernon Rouley of 3603 N. Richmond Road, McHenry, at the be -

$21,575.45 as recommended by Baxter & Woodman for expansion of the sewer
treatment plant.

Motion by Harker, seconded by Nolan, to authorize approval of
McHenry
Payment Estimate No. 8 for the Wexford Group (McHenry Lakes Estates) in Lakes
Estates
the amount of $177,500.00 as recommended by Baxter & Woodman and to sub-
mit the request to Elgin Savings & Loan for payment.
Voting aye: Meurer, Schooley, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan, Pepping.

Mayor Stanek read a letter of commendation for radio dispatcher (EmployeesY
Richard Davis from Fred Goering, Director of Transportation for School
Districts No. 15 and 156, regarding Davis' outstanding work involving commendations'
school bus problems. The letter will be made a permanent part of Davis'
personnel file.
Motion by Datz, seconded by Harker, to approve the fence and
accept the area at 4104 W. Bull Valley Road as satisfactory in meeting Zoning matter
requirements specified in the Zoning Ordinance for the property.
Voting aye: Meurer, Schooley, Wieser, Datz, Harker, Nolan, Peppina.

Absent: Adams.

Motion by Meurer, seconded by Schooley, to approve the purchase Police
Purchases
of a digital traffic recorder from Great Lakes Fire and Equipment Company
at a cost of $945.00 with the charge for two batteries at $45 each.

Council Mtg.
City Council meeting from Tuesday, February 17 to Wednesday, February 18,
1981 at 8 p.m.
