The Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Stanek on Monday, January 4,,1982 at 8:00 P.M. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Harker, Wieser, Smith, Meurer, Serritella. Absent: None. Also in attendance were Supt. Weber, Clerk Gilpin, Park Director Merkel. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Meurer, to accept the minutes of the December 21, 1981 regular meeting as presented with one correction. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Harker, Wieser, Smith, Meurer, Serritella. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Serritella, to change the date of the Special Meeting from Wednesday, January 13, 1982 to Thursday, January 14, 1982 for the purpose of discussing the McHenry Shores annexation and for any and all business which might properly come before the Council. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Datz, Harker, Wieser, Smith, Meurer, Serritella. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Council Mtg. Attendance Motion by Harker, seconded by Nolan, to authorize the use of water by Illinois Coil Springs Company for machine cooling purposes and to waive the usual sewer charges providing their company gets the required EPA permits and that they pay for all additional required meters and for all installation costs of the meters. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Smith, Meurer, Serritella. Voting Nay: Wieser, Datz. Absent: None. Motion carried. Harker reported that the Utilities Committee recommended granting the water use for Illinois Coil Springs Company during a pilot program. If expansion of the plant occurs next year, the Committee suggests the water use matter be reviewed at that time. Some aldermen felt the company should build a tower at its plant and recycle the water. Water use for the pilot program was projected by Illinois Coil officials at 600,000 gallons per month. If expansion occurs, the gallonage would go to approximately 1,650,000 per month. Motion by Harker, seconded by Meurer, to pass a resolution scheduling the annual Council Meeting dates for 1982. Voting Aye: Pepping,Nolan, Harker, Smith, Meurer. Serritella, Wieser, Datz. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Datz, seconded by Harker, to approve revisions in Public the city hall heating system and accept the proposal of Althoff Industries Property to do the work for $2,280.00. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Smith, Meurer, Serritella, Wieser, Datz. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Purchases Motion by Serritella, seconded by Smith, to authorize Supt. Public Works Weber to purchase a used hoist for the city garage at a cost not to exceed $1,500.00 Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Harker, Smith, Meurer, Serritella, Wieser, Datz. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Boone Creek Mayor Stanek announced that Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tonyan of Dredging 1405 Freund Ave. donated $500 to the Boone Creek Dredging Fund. Motion by Wieser, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Voting Aye: Peppinq, Nolan, Harker, Smith, Meurer,Serritella, Wieser, Datz. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.
